For the past year Missy and Dominick have taken the time to get to know each other better. They have been aware of the invitation into Tir-nan-og to meet Dominick’s mother, and have their wedding there, but they have not been in too big of a rush. Missy, with her first introduction to the land of the Fae through Morwen and Baethen, has not been too keen on taking a trip to fully enter that world. even though it has been about a year since her becoming a vampire, she is still trying to get used to things. And what she doesn’t tell Dominick is that even though the blood lust was supposedly taken from her...she still feels it, creeping at the edges. She has definitely developed a taste for rare meat. Upon entering Tir-nan-og with her family, things change drastically. Everyone is so very pleased to see Dominick again after the long years of being banished, but for some reason, a few of the Fae take umbrage with Missy. Nothing overt at first, but then it starts becoming more noticeable. Add to that, Dominick and Missy’s wedding is going to be nothing like they had envisioned. Missy, not having been exposed to any other forms of weddings, had figured it would be a pretty simple matter. Dominick had known that the wedding would not be simple, but he had figured that the wedding would be closer to that of an Irish-Catholic wedding...even though neither of them were Catholic. During his time with the Fae, he had never seen a coupling, and because the Fae are so long-lived, they don’t really talk about marriages like humans do. But, the Fae’s idea of weddings are a far cry from either of those scenarios, and Missy and Dominick are quite confumbled with the change. Rita, having a little more insight into the world of the Fae was not as startled by the change, and was the quicker one to adapt to the change in plans. During the ceremony, the great goddess, Danu, is called into being, and much to the dismay of everyone, through the Fae channeling her, she declared that Missy is unsuitable for Dominick. Being the great goddess, she can see into Missy, and she sees the blood lust, that has been continuing to grow in her. . At the time of the wedding ceremony, the Goddess Danu declares, in front of the entire joined court of Unseelie and Seelie Fae, not to mention Missy’s family, that she has been contaminated by Baethen and the unusual combination of Red Cap and vampirism has made Missy unstable, and it will continue to get worse.... What it will lead to, nobody knows...they can only hope it doesn't turn out too badly...
